Designed for individuals with no or little exposure to Adobe design software. This course provides an overview of the fundamentals of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Topics include image resolution, scanning, importing and exporting images, print setup, photo adjustments and introduction to vectors. Basic typography and design will be addressed. You can expect to gain a better understanding of how these three programs work together to create products for print and web. After this course you will be prepared to explore these programs at a deeper level and have the basic skills to expedite your creative ideas.

You are expected to possess the necessary skills and knowledge required to successfully complete the Capstone Project, and you must arrive at the first class session having identified a client for your project. This course concludes with a formal presentation to a panel of instructors and students. Learn the fundamentals of programming with the web browser scripting language. This course also provides an in-depth tour of the JavaScript programming language. Programming is a difficult subject to master, but the underlying concepts and techniques are easy to learn. The course will introduce basic programming terminology, concepts and best practices. No direct programming experience is required; however, some previous familiarity with JavaScript may be useful. Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 is required. Prerequisite: Usability + User Experience or equivalent experience.
