This course addresses image-making through methods in screen printing and monoprinting without specialized equipment or presses. Demonstrations in printing techniques are followed by hands-on work in stencil preparation, mixing of pigments, registration processes, pulling a print and presentation, including development and application of various hand-cut, drawn and photo stencils. Emphasis is on the acquisition of personal expression and technical skills and use of water-based inks. Studio intensive--breakfast is provided on the first day of classes, lunch is provided on Wednesday along with the Keynote Speaker, and a reception takes place on Friday.

One-Week Studio Art Residency

The Continuing Education department is pleased to offer these unique non-credit studio courses are designed for artists and art lovers seeking to explore a new media during an intensive one-week retreat on our Center City campus. An opportunity for anyone looking for a focused experience to create work in the studio.
