Karyn Tufarolo, Coordinator, the Professional Institute for Educators, has been with the PIE program since 2004. She earned her BA in English Literature from Elizabethtown College, where she served as the gallery assistant as well as the founder and Chair of the annual juried Fine and Performing Arts Festival. She spent a semester abroad at the University of York, England. With over 15 years in higher education, her background includes Director of Admissions at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, the Dean's Office at the College of Media Arts & Design at Drexel University, and five years in Admissions at The University of the Arts. She completed graduate coursework in Arts Administration at Drexel University and is currently pursuing her MA in Museum Studies at UArts. She has volunteered for Youth and Family Programs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and is currently an architectural tour guide, specializing in art deco and mid-century modern, for the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia.
