Dr. Elana Betts is a certified school psychologist in the K-12 school system with over 14 years of experience in public schools and approved private schools in Southeastern Pennsylvania. She received a BA from Penn State University, an MA from Rowan University and a school psychology certificate from Eastern University. In 2013, she received her Doctorate in Education (DEd) from Penn State University in Adult Education. Her areas of specialty include disability awareness, cultural competence (minorities, LGBTQ), and social justice advocacy work. Dr. Betts is the 2013 recipient of the Ruth Ellen Eshelman Lenker Memorial Research Award for her diversity advocacy research. She has worked in community mental health, K-12 education and higher education in both administrator and counselor roles. Elana enjoys working with adult learners in university, workplace and community settings.
