B.F.A. Sculpture 2014, The University of the Arts

Assistant Sculpture Shop Supervisor at The University of the Arts

Paige Miller is a Philadelphia-based artist and UArts alumna who upon graduation was hired to work under John N. Phillips at his foundry, Phillips Casting LLC., as well as an assistant to sculptor, Jeanne Jaffe. She is currently employed full time as the supervisor for the sculpture metal shop and foundry at UArts and also works for Bilenky Cycle works building custom bicycles. Titling herself the “Jane of all trades,” Miller also seeks out commissions and freelance work including everything from home improvements to canvas stretchers.  Miller’s body of work varies from objects and prints to site-specific installations. She works primarily with bronze, using non-traditional casting methods and welding the silicon bronze to create abstract sculptures. Her site-specific installations completely transform a pre-existing space to create an often disorienting, immersive environment.
