Kelcy ‘Chase’ Folsom has been a resident artist at numerous residencies including the Center for Ceramics in Berlin, Germany, The Hambidge Center in Rabun Gap, Georgia, and The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Chase followed his recent solo exhibition at Dateline Gallery in Denver, Colorado titled ‘Forever In A Way,' with a curating role for an exhibition for the National Council on the Education for the Ceramic Arts in Providence, RI, titled ‘Still Life: The Potential of the Picturesque’. In Fall 2016, two solo exhibitions will feature Chase's work: one at The Clay Studio and another at Kitchen Table Gallery, both in Philadelphia. Chase has held teaching positions at George Washington University, The Corcoran College of Art and Design, and Maryland Institute College of Art. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University as the Robert C. Turner Teaching Fellow in Ceramic Art in Alfred, New York.
