  • Integrating Media Literacy into Today's K-12 Classroom
    Middle and high school students spend, on average, 8 hours a day engaged either actively or passively in media. This course will equip you to guide your students in recognizing marketing approaches, identifying propaganda, understanding stereotypes, critically evaluating media, distilling and interpreting messages, and using media in innovative ways for learning.

  • Digital Citizenship/Digital Literacy in Today's K-12 Classroom
    Students have the power of the Internet at their fingertips. What types of issues should you, as a teacher, be aware of and be able to navigate within a seamless, ever-connected environment at school and at home?  You will emerge from this course understanding the import of guidance and leadership in the digital world, including appropriate and safe use of digital tools and the empowerment of students through digital tools.
