UArts PIE + MEd congratulates Chelsea Puglese, who earned her MEd in Educational Program Design, UArts in 2017. Chelsea is a K-6 art teacher with Abington School District, where she has taught for the past seven years. She has activated her Master's thesis, An Assessment-Based Elementary Art Curriculum, in her classroom, incorporating assessment methods she designed for her students while in the MEd program, with a focus on student self-assessment.
PIE + MEd instructor and artist Chris Sweeney will be presenting at the Connectivity Arts Integration & STEAM Online Conference on July 20th, in a session titled 3D Printing in the Secondary Design Classroom. The conference, provided by the EducationCloset, is a great opportunity to gain clarity around integrating the arts, develop successful STEAM lessons, and learn how to create exciting makerspaces for your students, all while earning your professional development hours.
