MEd + Graduate Certificate for Educators: Spring Info Sessions

In addition to our non-matriculated graduate courses that have earned the praise of teachers and support of school administrators for years, we are excited to launch a new master's degree in Educational Program Design and graduate certificate programs for educators.


Combining theory and practice, the 30-credit master's degree includes five core courses, plus five courses in a concentration area of the your choice: Educational Technology, Inclusion, Literacy, Museum + Primary Sources, or The Arts. Concentrations can be taken as a stand-alone graduate certificate for individuals not seeking a master’s degree.

CE Digital Photography Student Wins AMSP NYC Photo Competition

Congratulations to CE Digital Photography Certificate student Bridget Horgan Bell who recently won first place in the student category of AMSP NY's annual photography competition. 


IMAGE 13, which marked the 11th year of the international photo contest run by the New York chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers, was open to all professional, serious amateur and student photographers residing in the United States.

Free Parking at All PIE Locations

Parking is free at all locations where Professional Institute for Educator courses are offered - including our main campus in Center City! Visit our Locations page for a complete list of all of our sites.
 

Students attending courses within the Professional Institute for Educators at the main UArts location in Center City are eligible for a special free parking voucher to cover the costs of parking during class meeting times. Students must park at the LAZ garage in the Symphony House building, located at 440 South Broad Street - the corner of Broad and Pine Streets. Please visit our policies page for more details.

Summer 2013 Dance Study Cycles

The University of the Arts is pleased to launch UArts Dance Study Cycles, an innovative project for dancers seeking professional experience in preparation for careers and advanced study. The Summer 2013 UArts Dance Study Cycles is a three-week immersion for young artists and professionals seeking to further define and expand the scope of their dancing and dance making – concluding with a week in Southern France at Festival d’Avignon. The application deadline is April 14, 2013.


Dance Study Cycles is coordinated by the School of Dance at the University of the Arts, with application and related administrative processing through the Division of Continuing Studies. For more information visit cs.uarts.edu/dancecycles.
